Daily life
Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, developed along the Miljacka River on the historic Silk Road. The Baščaršija bazaar, Sebilj Fountain, Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and Latin Bridge testify to its Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian layers. Traditional café culture is central to daily life; current opening hours, prices and addresses are not invented without sourced place records, and missing details remain. Transport
Sarajevo's airport sits about 10-12 km southwest of the centre and Baščaršija, and is Bosnia and Herzegovina's main international gateway. The city runs a tram system operating since 1885, among the oldest in Europe, alongside trolleybuses and buses strung along the narrow Miljacka valley. The historic centre around Baščaršija is walkable. (Sources: Wikipedia, Wikivoyage)
Safety notes
For Sarajevo, safety, night return, opening hours, prices, addresses and bookings are not turned into firm advice without a source. Districts are not separate categories; without current official warnings, the correct boundary is.
